Motoring Offence?
Then call Rowberry Morris for help

BACKGROUND

Very often what can appear to be a minor motoring offence can result in disastrous consequences to you if proper legal advice is not sought at an early stage.

The Lawyers at Rowberry Morris are here to give quick and efficient advice and to try and avoid such a situation.

However very often it is not possible to avoid a Court appearance and thereafter the expertise of the Rowberry Morris Legal Team comes into play.

CHARGES

Initial telephone advice is charged at £50 plus VAT for a 20 minute telephone call with a Lawyer. This will very quickly identify the problem and you will be advised as to the next appropriate step to be taken.

You can chose to pay either a fixed fee thereafter as outlined below or an hourly rate of £183 plus VAT for all work done. We will always give you an estimate of cost in advance. All fees are exclusive of VAT which will be charged at the standard rate.

We take Switch, Solo, Visa Electron, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and JCB

We also act on cheques when these funds are cleared.

All fixed fees can be paid immediately but for higher fees the cost can be spread over 3 months but if a payment is missed then we would not be able to continue to help you until this is resolved.

FIXED FEE

Telephone Advice – you will receive 20 minutes advice from a Legal Adviser who will discuss your case, potential conviction and sentence £50
Identity/Accuracy challenge – we will challenge the accuracy of readings and identity of drivers £150
Advice on Plea – we will confirm in writing advice on plea, the reasons for that advice and potential consequences £300
Trial – Magistrates’ Court – we will defend you at a first listing of a trial in the Magistrates court £1250
Trial – Crown Court – we will represent you in the Magistrates Court in committal proceedings and then in the Crown Court for a first listing of a trial £2150
Advice and representation on an application to have your ban suspended or re-open a case £600
Sentencing – if appropriate rather than to represent you in person we will submit mitigation in writing on your behalf £250
Sentencing – if appropriate we will represent you in person and conduct a hearing pleading concerning exceptional hardship or special reasons where appropriate £600
Appeal to Crown Court against conviction – this includes a re-hearing of the evidence that lead to the conviction £2150
Appeal to Crown Court against sentence – this includes advice on appeal and drafting a notice and grounds of appeal as well as any hearings in the Crown Court £1250

HOURLY RATE

This service means you only pay for time that is spent working for you. Depending on the nature of the offence this could be cheaper than a fixed fee option but the decision will be yours. Clearly the harder we work on your case the more it will cost you.

With the hourly rate service we would ask for £250 plus VAT on accounts of costs and then bill you on a regular basis to spread the cost.

Furthermore in successfully defended trials it may well be that all or some of your costs can be recovered from the State.

These charges relate to Gloucestershire Courts only and in the event of cases outside the area fees will reflect the additional work involved.
